Andrew is an Associate Professor in the Division of Exercise Science and Sports Medicine, Department of Human Biology, of the Faculty of Health Science in Cape Town South Africa. His research is focused on nutrition, exercise performance and metabolism, with and emphasis on effects of carbohydrate and protein. Andrew is an experienced runner who has taken research findings to improve his own running and who has used his running to define research questions that he then subsequently investigated in the lab.
