Dr Alan McCubbin

Alan is an Accredited Sport Dietitian and works as a Senior Lecturer at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. His main research interests are the sodium needs of endurance and ultra-endurance athletes, and the role of AI in dietary analysis and dietary recommendations for athletes. Alan has also worked as a sports nutrition practitioner for over 20 years across a range of sports and athletes, from recreational to Olympic and professional level. He is a Fellow of Sports Dietitians Australia, the course coordinator for SDA's Sports Dietetics Course, and consults to the training-based nutrition app Fuelin. Alan's podcast Fueling Endurance answers common nutrition questions that runners, cyclists and triathletes face, and is accompanied by resources for both athletes and practitioners.
