The importance of nutrient timing
In this lecture on The importance of nutrient timing, Asker Jeukendrup discusses the importance of carbohydrate and protein timing for athletic performance. Asker discusses carbohydrate intake in the context of hypoglycaemia, and the implications for performance, as well as for glycogen synthesis. He also outlines scenarios where protein timing influences training adaptations, and disucusses recent studies that challenge previous evidence around protein nutrition timing.
