Professor Graeme Close

Graeme Close is a Professor of Human Physiology at Liverpool John Moores University where he is the programme leaders for the MSc in Sport Nutrition. Graeme is also nutrition consultant to England Rugby, Everton FC and Nottingham Forest. Graeme is the Head of Performance Nutrition to the European Tour Gold, the Lawn Tennis Association and several world class athletes.

Dr Laura Mancin

Dr. Laura Mancin is a postdoctoral researcher at Liverpool John Moores University. Laura's research focuses on using basic and applied sport nutrition strategies to maximise athletes’ performance and adaptation from exercise. Her current research areas include the effects of different dietary carbohydrates and fibres on gastrointestinal health, gut microbiome, and athlete's physiology.

Professor Asker Jeukendrup

Professor Asker Jeukendrup is one of the world’s leading sports nutritionists and exercise physiologist who spent most of his career as a professor at the University of Birmingham (UK) as Head of The Human Performance Laboratory. Currently he is a (visiting) professor at Loughborough University. He has authored 9 books and over 250 research papers and book chapters. During his career Asker has worked at the forefront of research as well as directly with athletes, including Olympic and World champions, Tour de France cyclists and Champions league football teams.
